Robotic cell for combination of plasma cutting and welding

Robotic cell for combination of plasma cutting and welding

For a machine constructor in West Flanders, a robot cell was built in which the robot takes care of both plasma cutting and welding. The work preparation for the robot programs was reduced to a minimum. Using the Robotmaster V7 cad cam software, the 3D files from the engineering department are now processed rapidly into finished products.

Robot welding program via Robotmaster V7

For a very small production batch of unique pieces, a welding robot program was created using the cad cam software Robotmaster V7 and this in less than half an hour. We were able to avoid having to teach the robot all the points step by step and shortened the programming time considerably. During the first test welds, all welding parameters could also be adjusted via the online interface of the welding source.

3D Plasma cutting of large diameter tube

In order to reduce the production costs of an archimedes supply screw, a new design was made in which a simple but very efficient concept was developed using 3D plasma cutting. As a result, no complex folded troughs were required and the total processing time was reduced to a quarter. Using the Robotmaster cad cam software, the robot program was created in a very short time and in a simple way.
